The Final Circle lands first CEE deal with Kanal D in Romania
 12 Oct 2026
Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP) announced today at MIPCOM that The Final Circle, the primetime gameshow format from Satisfaction, is heading to Romania, after Dogan Media commissioned a local version for Kanal D Romania.

In The Final Circle, fifty contestants step onto the outer ring of a 360-degree arena, with the host in the centre. Their goal is simply to survive the round and move inward, answering questions that test every part of their brain: logic, memory, language, calculation, visual and spatial skills. There are no shortcuts and no lifelines, only fast thinking under pressure. As they advance, the questions get harder and the circle tightens, until only the final two contestants remain, stepping into The Final Circle for a high-stakes showdown for the show’s grand prize.

Created by Satisfaction, the format launched in France on TF1 in June 2025 as Le Dernier Cercle and quickly returned for a second series. Celebrities joined contestants for a third series in summer 2026, while Germany became the first international market to adapt the format when Sat.1 launched Wer ist Deutschlands Superhirn? in August 2026, hosted by Jörg Pilawa.

André Renaud, GVP Format & Finished Sales at WBITVP, said: “The studio gameshow remains at the centre of commissioning slates, and broadcasters continue to chase them for the same reason they always have: strong gameplay, clear structure and a payoff that audiences love. The Final Circle asks a lot of its contestants, but it never rewards just one type of player. Every round draws on different skills, so fortunes can change quickly and nobody is ever completely out of the game. That’s what keeps the competition moving and why I’m confident that Romanian viewers will enjoy stepping into the arena alongside the players when Kanal D launches its local version.”

Clara Bomboe, Strategy, Planning and Programming Director at Kanal D, Romania, added: “The Final Circle combines suspense, unexpected turns and questions that naturally make you want to play along. It tests memory, logic, observation, and quick thinking, but in a way that everyone can enjoy — the kind of game where the whole family can join in and test themselves against the contestants. Kanal D has built a strong track record with studio game shows that engage viewers, so The Final Circle feels like a natural choice for us. It is also visually spectacular, and we believe it has everything it needs to keep Romanian viewers hooked right through to the final circle.”

The deal was brokered by Reema Patel, Director of Formats at WBITVP.
