RTK has appointed Zana Spahiu as its new Director General permanently. Until now, she was the acting chief of the pubcaster.

She is a legal professional with wide institutional experience in public media and legal administration. She joined RTK in 2010, working in the Legal Office on legal matters and regulatory support for the institution. In 2022, she was appointed Head of the Legal Office - strengthening legal processes, giving legal counsel to the institution, and supporting strategic decisions. She was appointed Acting Director General in 2024.

Throughout her career, Spahiu has also worked in the creative and cultural sectors, giving legal support to the film industry and audiovisual projects. Her work has included film productions, copyright and intellectual property, artistic contracts, and the legal side of media and cultural projects.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Prishtina, where she built a strong academic and professional foundation in law.

Beyond her legal work, she has helped strengthen inter-institutional cooperation and administrative processes, and has supported creative and cultural initiatives across the public media sector.
