Belgrade-based production company Rainmaker Production is filming the first two Serbian seasons of hit reality format The Traitors, with the pair of installments being produced back-to-back, making it the first production company to do so.

The order marks the launch of the format in the market, with the upcoming runs representing the first two seasons of The Traitors Serbia ever made.

CEETV reported first in February that the show has been commissioned by commercial net PRVA.

Created and developed by IDTV in cooperation with RTL Creative Unit, in the Netherlands, All3Media International’s The Traitors has become one of the most in-demand entertainment formats in the international TV business, with local adaptations in 40 territories across Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, with multiple returning series and companion shows also commissioned.

For Rainmaker Production, the back-to-back shoot underlines both the scale of the local commission and the continued international momentum behind the format. It also highlights Serbia’s growing role as a production base for premium unscripted programming.

The decision to produce two seasons consecutively points to strong confidence in the format’s prospects in the territory, as broadcasters and producers continue to back proven global IP with local audience appeal.

With cameras now rolling, The Traitors Serbia is set to introduce Serbian viewers to one of the most talked-about reality formats in the market, while giving Rainmaker a major new franchise from launch.

The Traitors Serbia season one will air in fall 2026, while season two is set for spring 2027.
