CEEDori Media's Power Couple renewed in Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania
Dori Media Group has announced that its hit unscripted format Power Couple has now been sold in more than 25 territories worldwide, while securing multiple renewals across key Central and Eastern European markets.
The format continues to perform strongly in Central and Eastern Europe, with renewals confirmed for a 10th season on RTL Hungary, a fourth season on Antena in Romania, and a seventh season on Nova in Bulgaria. The format’s latest milestone comes alongside the successful launch of its new 24/7 version across TelevisaUnivision platforms in the U.S. Hispanic and Mexican markets. The first season, titled ¿Apostarías por mí? (Would You Bet on Me?), concluded in March after airing across UniMás, Univision and Las Estrellas, with continuous availability on the ViX streaming platform. Produced by Fremantle Mexico, the show featured 12 celebrity couples and combined daily episodes with weekly gala events. Originally created by Abot Hameiri, part of Fremantle, the new 24/7 version was developed in collaboration with Dori Media, expanding the format into a multi-platform offering spanning broadcast, streaming and digital environments. Internationally, Power Couple has been adapted in major markets including Germany, Brazil, India, Mexico and U.S. Hispanic, with Finland recently joining the list through a deal with Yellow Film. In total, the format has generated more than 70 seasons and over 1,250 episodes globally. Dori Media CEO Nadav Palti highlighted the format’s sustained growth and adaptability, emphasizing the success of both celebrity and non-celebrity editions: “We are truly proud of the growth of Power Couple globally and so excited that our new 24/7 version has gotten off to such a strong start in the U.S. Hispanic and Mexican markets with our partners at Televisa/Univision. This format has been tremendously successful with celebrity and non-celebrity editions and now we are very excited to expand our Power Couple offering to include this new 24/7 version which can play across broadcast, cable, streaming and digital platforms.” Roee Strikovski, CEO of Abot Hameiri (Fremantle Israel), added: “Power Couple continues to evolve as a global format, and the 24/7 extension allows us to build on its core DNA while adapting it to new platforms and viewing habits.” RELATED
