The Kyrgyz drama Red Pants won the Award of the 2026 Co-Pro Pitching Sessions at Series Mania last night. The winning project will be funded with 50.000 euros.

Red Pants is a 10-episode one-hour project in the action drama genre. In late 1970s Soviet Kyrgyzstan, Aisha a military officer’s daughter forms the notorious ‘Red Pants’ first female criminal gang to avenge her father’s death and challenge the oppressive regime.

Tilek Cherikov wrote the script, while the producer is Erke Dzhumakmatova for Studio Oymo.
