Vodafone Romania has officially announced the signing of the relevant legal documents for its transaction to acquire Telekom Romania Mobile Communications S.A.

The total value of the transaction is €30 million, a sum which refers exclusively to the elements of the acquisition to be taken over by Vodafone Romania. Upon the completion of the deal, which is estimated for the beginning of October this year, Vodafone will gain control of Telekom Romania’s operations. This includes its employees, postpaid customer base, business clients, retail store network, and technical network infrastructure. The acquisition excludes the prepaid customer segment and certain assets being acquired by Digi Romania.

Today's signing of the legal documents does not immediately impact the customers, employees, and partners of either Vodafone Romania or Telekom Romania. Following the finalization of the transaction, the two companies will begin a phased integration process. Further details will be provided at the appropriate time.

The move marks a significant consolidation in the Romanian telecommunications market, poised to create a strengthened competitive entity.
