RCN announced yesterday that NBCUniversal International Networks' female-skewing DIVA channel has acquired the hit Colombian series Enfermeras (Nurses) for broadcasting in Romania and the Balkan countries.

The original production of Canal RCN, which has already surpassed over 393 episodes, takes place at the Santa Rosa University Hospital and stars Diana Hoyos (María Clara Rodríguez), Sebastián Carvajal (Carlos Pérez), Viña Machado, Julián Trujillo, Nina Caicedo, Luis Velasco and many others. The series is directed by Víctor Cantillo and Luis Sierra.

Nurses, winner of seven India Catalina Awards in Colombia, has a 1,200-meter studio located in the RCN facilities, equipped with medical equipment where all the scenes recorded inside the hospital are filmed; this being one of the main production values.

The series has been sold to 130+ countries.
