Gazprom Media has canceled live broadcasts of the Paralympic Games in Beijing on the channels of the Match sub-holding, the company said on its Telegram channel. This is the holding’s response to the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to remove the Russian team from the Beijing Games.

“Several years of athletes’ training were destroyed, apparently by a political decision of international officials. Having preached the slogan “Sport is out of politics” for many years, the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee forgot it at the right moment for some politicians,” Gazprom Media said in a statement.
