Estonian Film Institute steps up cooperation with South Korean partners
 28 Nov 2013
The heads of the Estonian and South Korean film associations, Edith Sepp-Dallas and Insoo Kim, have met in Tallinn to sign a cooperation memorandum between their countries' motion pictures industries, ERR reports.

‘The signing of this cooperation agreement is very important for the Estonian Film Institute,’ Sepp-Dallas said in a press release. The memorandum is the first that Korea has with any North or East European country.

She said ties between Estonian and South Korean filmmakers are already close. The event comes ahead of an EU-South Korea cultural cooperation working group meeting in Brussels on December 5.

In the ongoing Black Nights Film Festival, Estonia's biggest film event of the year, four South Korean films are being screened, including renowned director Kim Ki-Duk's controversial Möbius and Chung Ji-Young's political drama National Security.
